Popular Tech donates books, computers, money and employee time to the charities listed below.
Western University - Western University of Health Sciences is a nonprofit, graduate university offering advanced degrees and training in a variety of health professions.
Founded in 1977 with a student body of 36, over 2000 students are now enrolled in Western University courses. Western University has grown into one of
the largest graduate schools for healthcare professionals in California. Alumni include top leaders in healthcare and medicine throughout the world. The
dedicated professionals at Western University continuously work to advance their educational, scholarly, patient care, and public service activities. The
University encourages diversity and interdisciplinary studies among its students, faculty, staff and administration. The ideals of continuous quality imp
rovement, lifelong learning, long-term planning, fiscal strength, adaptability, and agility in the rapidly changing worlds of healthcare and education are
realized through innovation, teamwork, and collaboration within the University as well as with its network of academic health centers and community partne
rs. Popular Tech and Western University have joined forces to raise funds for student scholarships, state-of-the art equipment purchases and investment in
facilities development.
Avon Breast Cancer -
The Avon Foundation was founded in 1955 with the mission to improve the lives of women and their families, and in this 50th year the mission continues
with a commitment to the eradication of breast cancer and the advancement of women’s empowerment, focused on the issue of domestic violence.
A highlight of this milestone year will be the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series, which is the largest fundraising program of the Avon Foundation.
School First Federal Credit Union-
schoolsfirst federal credit union believe school employees—as well as the educational community and credit unions
as a whole—deserve their active support.
The Foundation Fighting Blindness-
The urgent mission of The Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. (FFB) is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP),
macular degeneration, Usher Syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
YMCA – Community Organization-
The YMCA brings a sense of belonging to the community. YMCA promotes strong basic values and feelings of high self-worth that are
critical for people of all ages. The YMCAs commitment to meeting community needs is continually demonstrated in programs ranging from child care,
after-school enrichment, youth leadership and development, mentoring and tutoring, youth and adult sports, fitness, camping,
and family support activities. For past several years, Popular Tech has been a proud sponsor of several YMCA sports events.
Los Angeles Homeless Centers-
Authorities estimate that Los Angeles has more homeless people than any other American city. On any given night, somewhere
between 38,000 and 69,000 Los Angeles residents will find themselves homeless. Less than 20,000 will be able to find safety in
a shelter. Tragically, families with children are the fastest growing segment
of the homeless population. Women and children now make up nearly 40 percent of the homeless in Los Angeles.
National MS Society -
Providing accurate, up-to-date information to individuals with MS, their families, and healthcare providers is central to
our mission. MS is thought to be an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS).
American Red Cross New York Relief -
The American Red Cross September 11 Recovery Program has helped thousands of individuals and families throughout the world who were
directly affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks. Red Cross continues to help those impacted regain their self-sufficiency.
Ongoing assistance for families of the deceased, the injured, rescue and recovery personnel and affected residents includes assistance
accessing mental health and health care services, health insurance,
Family Support Services, family information and support sessions, and financial assistance.
American Red Cross India Earthquake Relief -
Helping the victims of a disaster on the scale of India's January 26, 2001 earthquake requires an immense
amount of resources: money, supplies, equipment — and of course, people.
NABA – Baseball Organization -
NABA is the fastest growing Adult Baseball organization in America, organized nationally into groups categorized by age. The recreational level provides an opportunity for
players whose love of the game perhaps exceeds their level of experience. This divisional structure provides a level field for each player - regardless of experience and ability
level, NABA seeks to foster a competitive environment that is challenging for all involved. Popular Tech is excited to support local baseball teams
regularly attends NABA events. Our support helped local NABA teams purchase new team jerseys and travel to events.
Orange County Public Library-
Popular Tech assists Orange County libraries through the donation of technical books every year. Orange County Public Library is a network of community
libraries in your neighborhood or as near as your computer. We have several branches as well as an outlet in Orangewood Children's Home to provide a va
riety of services to residents throughout the County.
Some of the branches are operated within the jurisdiction of the county's 33 cities and some within the county's unincorporated area.
Tustin Christ Donation-
Popular Tech has donated computers and office supplies to this locally run charity on a yearly basis.
ALAG – Orphans in Mexico -
ALAG sends its members to help orphan children in Mexico. The organization organizes donations, education programs and helps local orphanages build extra classrooms and buildings.
Popular Tech has donated funds that have allowed ALAG volunteers to continue their charitable mission in Mexico.
